Allum Karibasappa Institute of Management (AKIM) was set up in the year 1998 under the aegis of Veerasaiva Vidyavardhaka Sangha, Ballari. The institution is recognized by the Government of Karnataka, and approved by AICTE, New Delhi, in addition, AKIM is the only institute in Ballari to attain ISO 9001-2015 Certification. The college is affiliated with VIJAYANAGARA SRI KRISHNADEVARAYA UNIVERSITY, BALLARI.In 1998, AKIM ventured into shaping and training bright, young minds in high-quality management education to meet the managerial leadership needs of the country for a fast-changing environment. KIM possesses’ a diligent faculty team with full-on hands-on experience both in industry and academics. The emergence and subsequent success of AKIM Institute in business management in India marked the realization of one of his visions. The success is encouraged by the alumni in the industry nationally and globally.

KIM consists of a spread-out campus with good infrastructure and flanking with various facilities and amenities in the form of a library, computer center, AC classrooms with well-equipped teaching and learning aids, sports and medical facilities, etc.

The classrooms at AKIM are delightful learning locations. They are well-furnished and well-equipped AC classrooms with the latest in educational technology: PowerPoint presentation facilities, wi-fi equipment, and acoustic and audio-visual arrangements. Furnished attractively with a view to a comfortable learning experience, our classrooms invite our students to learn in a healthy ambiance. 

Library:

The library is one of the important central facilities of the institute catering to the information needs of faculty, research scholars, and students in Management. The main objective is to make the Library the most effective Learning Resource center to contribute to the quality of education. The collection includes reference books, textbooks, CDs/DVDs, Dissertations, thesis, magazines, and newspapers. The library also created a learning environment by establishing Online Open Access, J-gate, and e-resources.

Computer Centre :

The Computer Center caters to the needs of the various sections of the College. The mission of the Computer Center at AKIM is to create and maintain IT in a Business environment for the pursuit of academic excellence. A Computer Centre with an adequate number of desktop systems is available for independent study and learning with support from technical staff.

Sports :

In addition to the curriculum, the institution has emphasized physical and mental fitness by involving them in Sports, Yoga, and Physical activity. The aim of the sports program is to ensure that all students are active during the day, every day, and to create an awareness of the importance of regular physical activity, fitness, teamwork and inculcate a positive competitive spirit and carry these traits into the students’ life. The institute and students organize Yoga, Indoor, and Outdoor Sports events, and Cultural Fest once a semester. The students also participate in various state and national-level sports and cultural activities.

Health center:

The health care of all the students, faculty members, and non-teaching staff of the institute is ensured by a regular senior doctor. The Health Centre is committed to promoting the health and wellness of the campus community by providing high-quality prevention, education, and treatment services. The Health Centre aims to enhance the healthcare experience of the institute by providing healthcare with respect to consideration and confidentiality.

Placement cell AT AKIM:

AKIM has a history of strong relationships with leading business organizations and we continue to reinforce these relationships and expand our corporate partnership. The Placement Cell of the AKIM is established for securing our students’ future by giving a respectful jobs and opportunities to them. Thus, the main objective of the cell is to get students placed in reputed multinationals, Government Organizations, NGOs,s and the private sector. The Placement Cell acts as an interface between the industry and the students, and will primarily enable the students to select from their career options. The Placement Cell will liaison with corporate organizations to provide suitable jobs and internships for the candidates completing their studies from AKIM.
